One of LCDC's strategic initiatives is to assemble property for a future downtown structured parking facility. LCDC has identified the "federal building" block (the block bordered by 3rd & 4th Streets and Lakeside & Coeur d'Alene Avenues) as the preferred location for a structured parking facility, and has initiated land acquisition activities on the block. Currently, LCDC owns four of the six original privately held property parcels on the block. Project scope and timing for a structured parking facility initiative is pending.
